Lore & Lament was birthed in the rugged windswept landscapes of Cornwall UK in 2024 as an exploration into Traditional English and Celtic Folk songs by Birmingham born duo Holly and Mitch.

Whilst at school they connected over their shared love of music. However, it wasn't until a decade later that they finally decided to make music together. Holly had  spent many years gigging solo, making music in bands and creating soundscapes. However, she had another venture that she also wanted to pursue. Playing Traditional Folk songs, which she and Mitch both had a deep love for. Mitch had been on another path entirely, pursuing Boxing and other creative pursuits. 

From then they have gone on to craft something entirely their own. What they call Liminal Alt-Folk.

In March 2026 they released their Debut single 'Aprcity'  with a string of songs to be released through the year and the release of their Debut Album 'SOLASTALGIA'
